Drum lessons

Have you always wanted to play the drums but never had the opportunity to get started? Perhaps your kid is showing interest in the instrument, and you are considering lessons? At Music Space London, we offer enjoyable drum lessons at home with qualified and motivated teachers. Beginners and more advanced players are welcome.

Drum lessons are a powerful way of developing a range of mental, physical and social skills. The coordination involved in the practice can help to improve concentration, and the lessons could be a great environment for stress relief.

 

Drums are also one of the most physically demanding instruments. This helps many to become more body-aware and expand their engagement with physical exercise.

Beginners lessons

​

  •  You will learn first the different parts of the drums, along with the essential foundational techniques to get you started.

  • A basic drum kit consists of a snare, bass drum, hi-hat, toms, and crash and ride cymbals.

  • The stick's grip is essential at this stage, so you may want to focus on developing a compelling stroke on a snare or even a pad.

  • Single strokes entail alternating your right and left hand. With double stroke rolls you repeat each hand twice (RRLL).

  • You will soon be able to play basic along with some easy songs.
